Before You go on with what I write, go through these posts…
http://jaspreet-images.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-fault.html
You loved true and pure.
For You loved as You are.
But You loved a mask He had put on his face.
To lure You.
To play with You.
As though You were a toy.
An object.
And a mask is not a real thing.
The mask has fallen.
The Man remains.
Naked. Revealed.
Wash away the mask from your soul.
For a mask is not a real thing.
And it was not Love. But an illusion.
And The Man who Loves You…
Shall never do this to you…
Wash away the illusions.
Let just LOVE survive.
Oh my gosh!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is great...'It was not love but an illusion'.It's sad that people can't differentiate between love and desire. And whatever be the case, the blame is always put on the girl because it's the easiest thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI can see and feel that Rajat's post has initiated some serious thought process.
Keep writing :)
but love is also a mask!

ReplyDelete@Jaspreet No dear it was not Rajat's post which initiated me 2 write this. It was yours.
ReplyDeletei jus wanted 2 say this 2 you in regard to what u wrote and so i wrote the post. And Rajat's post too wants 2 convey the same message
and that is:
"Please understand Love. Don't mistake desire, lust, illusion, excitement and odr feelings for Love. For LOVE IS ABOVE THEM..."
@Mayz This is what i wanna tell people. Mask is the person you thing you were in love with. but its not always love dear...
Hello Gazal..
ReplyDeleteFor you from my book and I think my page too has this:
Oh, what an enormous task
To remove one's own mask
For it is difficult to trace
When did it get on the face..
And I don't know if you visited my page for OSI Prompt Love where I wrote this which perhaps you are saying..
LETTING 'LOVE' TO BE
THAT'S LOVE TO ME.
@Rameshji Oh my God Sir... I loved your lines. I shall go through your older posts on your page soon. God bless.
ReplyDeleteHey Ghazal you know what, I have tried to write a poem in Hindi for the very 1st time, after being inspired by some of your posts :)

ReplyDelete@Jaspreet Thank u. Read ur post. all i'll say is At one point of time, I too would have gone 2 think on similar lines, but d same night a friend send me this:
ReplyDelete"When people walk away from you, let them go.
Your destiny is never tied to the one who leaves you. It doesn't mean that they are bad people. It just means that their part in your story is over."
AND ITS GAZAL. NOT GHAZAL. :)
First of all Gazal, you have a wonderful name, I never met anyone with this name ever before.
ReplyDeleteNext, the poem is really nice, so true that true love shall dissolve all illusions. Its really disgusting that people tend to use others, for mean motives, pleasure maybe, but it hurts...
Regards
Blasphemous Aesthete
@Gazal:Oops!!sorry..GAZAL and I agree with BA that ur name is really beautiful and unique :)
ReplyDelete@ Jaspreet, B.A. Thank u... :)
ReplyDeleteLove kindles just unexpectedly
ReplyDeleteand nurtures with no expectations.
It is quintessence of holiness
semblance of sacrifice
immortal ,unpretentious
it is 'beauty' epitomized.
They say we fall in love,O ne'er
we just suddenly begin to 'rise'.
"Even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you"
