WHAT DOES NOT CHANGE, DIES.
You have always been changing.
The earth.
As though in love with the incessant force
which becomes
the wind, the ice, sometimes water
and touches you deep.
Erodes you
and deposits your pieces far.
And all these magical places
the caves, the cliffs, the canyons I visit
have had these painful histories
of erosion
of love and longing.
of unsung sediments, of unheard weathering rocks.
and of timeless crevices
which expand and break you apart.
Your story they sing,
when these mid oceanic volcanoes burst
rip you apart and deposit hot magma
which is to become your new crust.
And I was such a fool
to think I was the only one
with a story to tell
with melancholic soliloquies which like songs yell...
